Kitner. Truck 715 defect/observation: Generator PTO faceplate bolts (all 4) were extremely loose, potentially causing fluid leak. Driver's seat Generator on/off switch intermittently works. Two check engine lights came on in A715 on the way back from call #99950, but the ambulance was driving OK, and all gauges showed OK. Once we got back to the station, I checked on the faults, and they showed "Low Coolant Alarm". The coolant reservoir was full (as it was when I checked it at the beginning of the shift). Over the course of the afternoon, the check engine alarms and low coolant alarms went away and the coolant temperature never got up to or over 200 degrees, so I did not write up an apparatus defect for it.

One of the HydraFusion Struts off RS715 was found with hydraulic fluid around the base of the strut. The hydraulic fluid is not coming from the normal connection but it around the end of the strut where it connects to the base. After further evaluation the base of the strut is able to move slightly and it can be seen moving where the fluid was found. NO fluid was found actively leaking under pressure or while in use. Written up in small tools.
