We greatly appreciate all the efforts going on around the station. Eventually, the HVAC project will surely end and the BVFD will schedule our annual "Spring Cleaning" day and kick-off internal efforts.
A special word of thanks to Dan Fields for agreeing to make needed "House Fund" purchases so that we have basic condiments and foil/plastic wrap on hand for everyone. This is a courtesy provided by BVFD funds. The Coffee and related supplies are also provided as a courtesy by BVFD Funds, which are offset some by the soda and vending machine revenue. We intentionally keep the soda and vending machine prices low, even though they do not generate enough funds to truly cover the cost of providing coffee around the clock.
Fortunately, BVFD funds have been able to cover a variety of items from the New Ladder Truck and Training Door Prop, to the new Riding Assignment Board and Basketball Hoop. Today, AFC Ryman shared details on the new Rope Rescue Equipment purchased by the BVFD. Our next huge expenditure will be a new Heavy Duty Rescue Squad. I won't list everything that BVFD funds cover, but please keep in mind that we are always working to maximize purchases for the benefit of all.

| All, Today we reconfigured the kitchen/dining area to accommodate the new refrigerators and to best utilize the space we have. We still need to fix some things prior to leaving it this way such as addressing the electrical outlets and storage. We will leave it this way as a TRIAL PERIOD for the next 4-6 weeks and evaluate at the end. On another note, Danny Fields will be handling house fund orders. This will include any community type condiments and such. He has rearranged the pantry to display the current supplies we have. He also put up an order form for folks to write in what is needed. Now, if by chance there is something that needs to be bought with the trade account and is immediate, he has also provided instructions for that. Please be mindful that the Housefund is a Company/Community use only and not to be used for shift specific items. It is also important to note that this is funded by the Snack/Soda machines and the BVFD.
