All-
A full complement of 6 new dry suits was placed in service on RS715 today, replacing the aging ice suits and the 2 loaner dry suits from special ops. These were the first items ordered for the new RS715 and will move to that unit upon its arrival.
The bags are labeled based on suit, liner, glove, and boot size. The sizes are spread across a range to accomodate the greatest majority of personnel.
The suit sizes are as follows:
- 1 XXL
- 2 XL
- 2 L
- 1 M
Each bag contains a laminated sheet listing the sizes of all items in the bag, which are also written on the bag. The helmets will remain dual purpose with the rope equipment and are stored in a different bag in the same area. All of this equipment remains in the most forward netted portion of the walk-in.
Lt. Keefer has generously offered to return the special ops suits to Dover Road. Those red bags have been placed next to his locker.
**Whistles to attach to each PFD, and ice picks for each bag are forthcoming.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
Thanks,
Michael Ryman
