Fw: FS #15 and FS #32 Diesel Fuel Pumps

FYSA below.

Between this communication and the last phone call I received I would suggest we work to spread out the time between fueling rigs to the extent possible until the replacement is procured.

Subject: FS #15 and FS #32 Diesel Fuel Pumps

  • The diesel pump at FS #15 will need to be replaced.  The vendor is sourcing the product, and then will need to go through the purchasing process.  It is my understanding from the vendor that all rigs at 15 are filled in the evening.  The vendor recommends that this practice stop until such time the pump can be replaced (it is overheating).

  • The diesel pump at FS #32 will need to be replaced.  After a few recent service calls, the vendor did some additional research and found that the pump is specifically designed for E85 gasoline; not diesel and the problem has now caught up to us.  The County, in its infinite wisdom, chose a proprietary fuel system for FS #32, and therefore sourcing a replacement will take a bit more doing (the vendor is working on this).  Diesel at FS #32 is OOS for the next couple of weeks.

Please pass along to whoever you see fit.
