The pump on brush 715 has started without issue 3 days in a row. The unit was placed back in service. For the future- CMF does maintain that unit, so if we're taking it out of service we should ensure it goes to cmf on the next possible shift.

Several kids were spotted on the roof of the sheds out back today - they found an old ladder behind the sheds and after breaking the fence they ascended to the roof where they were eating lunch and smoking weed enjoying the view. MCPD was kind enough to escort them off the property. Expect a police presence around the rear parking lot area during school hours. |

ALL TRUCK 15 THINGS 1. Went to Patriot today and had the mapbook holders installed. So much room for activities. 2. Patriot looked at the driver's door, couldn't fix it due to lack of parts. It remains unlocked, but can still be locked using the red mechanism on the inside of the drivers door. CMF will fix it at next PM. 3. STOP ENGINE/Check Engine and low coolant warnings turned on while enroute to Patriot. Restarted the truck and it did not reappear. Coolant level was fine and no leaks. Patriot couldn't find anything wrong, but performed a PM on the level sensor anyways on a hunch. Alarms remained off for the rest of the day.

T715 driver's door lock mechanism is acting up again, actually the entire lock cylinder was discovered to be missing. The issue was discovered when the door locked and could not be unlocked or opened from the outside. The door was taken apart and temporarily fixed but there is currently no mechanism to lock the door. Some parts of the door (mainly from the power lock mechanism) are in the captain's office. Defect submitted.

Tonight @ 10:30 PM RS715 was picked up by Wheaton. Apparently multiple Squads broke and per the DOC they came to 15 and picked up our Rescue Squad to use for the night. It is believed that this switch is only for the night and we will possibly get it back tomorrow or our frontline Rescue Squad. They needed all equipment so nothing was removed with exception of 4 portable radios and radio straps as well as the door openers. These are all located in the Captains Office. Good luck tomorrow.

A715 has two check engine lights again. Active faults show low coolant level (same as Mark Bulla's 8/14 entry). Coolant level below "Min Cold" line when engine is hot. No coolant added due to engine temp. No obvious coolant leaks.

T715 3 Gas meter was written up and waiting to go out to SCBA shop due to damaged red triangle button. Apparently when Chan returned meter he forgot to mention damage due to T3 not checking out prior to start of shift. Note* leaving meter in turnout coat pocket for 24 hours apparently damages the button. Bravo wagon meter placed on T715 as reserve.

* One of the leaking toilets in the women's room was fixed, they will be back tomorrow for the other one. * Light bulbs from the hallway closet placed in the women's room light fixtures. * Supplies received and put away * New garden hoses added to the engine room * Large twist ties added to the nozzle bails on the engine company high rise packs - used to secure nozzle bails open after extending lines. * Dre Rich was contacted about the missing meter from T15, he advised he was only riding T3 last A shift so he has no idea if it was on the truck. Luckily Chan came through and since he was done metering his house he brought it back today, it is back on the truck. |
