Rescue Squad - From Captain Poist: 1. Any BA products, cables, or otherwise rigging equipment written up for repair/replacement is unlikely to be completed anytime soon due to a contract/purchase issue with the vendors. Capt Poist recommended continuing to write up problems, but also to speak w/ Chief Ryman about any issues going forward, until the vendor issue is resolved. 2. For the time being, the Genesis/hydraulic tool repair vendor doesn't have the personnel to make repairs. A few A9 employees received training and can make some repairs. Recommendation from Capt. Poist was to continue to write up defects but don't expect repairs to be completed in a timely fashion. If a defect isn't handled within a few weeks/month, please inquire with A9 about the status, they lose track of things all the time. If a tool goes OOS, A9 will do their best to acquire a spare/replacement. Truck 715 - From Chris at CMF (called to check on the generator issue): if the Generator isn't functioning, check the wiring connections on the PTO, clean the terminals and that usually fixes the issue. Also said to make sure that any/all bolts are tight and that there are no fluid leaks from the PTO. I informed him that it has been working fine since I wrote it up, of course. A715 (RA-1): Cot Battery died on the Vol crew this AM, portable charger was missing from unit. Charged the battery in the watch office and returned to service. Sent FF Peclat to CMF to find A715's portable charger, unable to locate A715's, he returned with the portable charger from M715 and a spare battery. Spare Battery labeled A715, charged and placed on A715/RA-1. M715 Portable Battery Charger is in the Watch Office on the shelf. |
