Re: HVAC Update

General follow up:

We are working to get true portable heaters staged at 15. Michael Newman may be handling that today. If so he may need assistance loading the A/C units to take back.

Here is the short of it:

  • With in the next few days the system will be locked out and controlled only by Seven locks
  • The System will be monitored to figure out what the issues are that cause system to shut down by itself
  • The Kitchen area unit is OOS; It will not be fixed until the weather warms up for a minimum of 48 hrs
    • The Dayroom unit temp has been turned up to compensate for the kitchen area; Please minimize exiting and re-entering through side door (Kitchen area) during cold weather
  • Monitor Radio Room/Storage Rm to ensure it does not get too hot. If it does prop it open; They know this is an issue
  • Myself or Chief Ryman will update everyone with any other pertinent information

Thank you

Both saws from RS715 are being sent back to TEAM for warranty repairs. They are being picked up directly from small tools today.

Two metal bins from RS715 have been sent to a fabricator so additional bins can be made to support placing the remainder of the new chains on the unit when it returns from WI.

IMPORTANT-NOTICE

All,

Just wanted to start off by saying thank you to all involved handling the Firehouse  issues in the past few weeks.  As we continue to operate here at Company 15  here are some topics to be addressed:

FIREHOUSE ISSUES:

  • Parking behind the engine bays seems to be becoming an issue again. I know, I've done it too but we really need to move vehicles once the parking spots clear up at shift change.
  • The SHOP organization seems to keep becoming an issue every few months.  If you use something put it back. Let's try and keep this area organized otherwise this are will end up getting locked up with limited access.
FIRETRUCKS:
  • Overall equipment movement need to be coordinated. Things seem to be getting moved between apparatus again without any group discussion or coordination.
    • We will work on establishing clear inventories to prevent this from happening.
  • Switchovers: We will paint Engine Company Equipment to identify inventories for Crimson and Pierce
    • Lists have to be made and passed on electronically so folks can refer to
EMS
  • BVFD EMS personnel have been left out of EMS and EPCR report.  Please ensure detailed personnel know to add BVFD EMS when completing reports.

FIRE SUPPLIES:
  • If a delivery is made, please make sure to inventory it if you open it.  Otherwise respective folks will handle. The receipts should be filed in the file trays next to Captains Mailboxes. (NOT IN MY MAILBOX)
  • Please continue to use the white board in Captains office to write down things we need

Again thank you all for the work you've done and we will work on clarifying these issues as we move on.  If you feel there are any items you'd like me to address please feel free to email, talk, text, whatever. Thanks
