We now have dual 300' pre-connected handlines off of the rear of the engine company. The one closer to the driver's side is 2" (50/250 Elkhart) and the one closest to the officer is 1 3/4" (50/175 Elkhart). This accomplishes a couple things. First, it allows us to conduct our Elkhart test (please don't forget to send any and all data to Lt. Dietz) with lines that are the most similar. Second, it aligns us with the new hoseline spec that has been approved by the engine committee and is going to be on the new engine companies. Third, we get to see how much of a difference there is between the two in regards to maneuverability. Pretty exciting stuff. Special thanks to our station commander for endorsing this. The blitz fire is located in the same place. The 2 1/2" line has been rolled and put with the other spare hose. | |
IF DEFECT, WAS A REPAIR REQUEST MADE? | NO |
