| A715 currently has two ePCR devices on board. Starting on 9/1/17 and continuing presently, the ePCR device for A715 has been malfunctioning. We are unsure if it is equipment, connection, or software based. As a result, ePCR reports have been abruptly interrupted causing crews to fall back to the Short for parts of the report, including signatures, etc. Each time the crew has worked to complete the electronic report utilizing other resources when available. Last night, we attempted to secure a replacement ePCR Toughbook from EMS 704. Captain Jackson was in the process of working through connectivity issues when we were dispatched to the triple stabbing in 18's area. As a result, we ended up taking the loaner tablet and keeping the Toughbook. We currently have book devices, neither of which is successfully allowing full report completion. I have requested that the EMS Office or EMS Duty Officer evaluate the equipment and take whichever items require adjustment. In the interim, we have been using the paper Short Forms when necessary. I have scanned and sent the ones from Friday & Saturday, consistent with instruction from the EMS Office. | |
