| Truck 715 was called up to CMF to check on several items written up by B shift. The following occurred: CMF stated they mitigated the oil leak around the area of the power steering pump (new oil found on the floor A shift morning). There is a new fan blade assembly on order, and the issue causing the chipping has been fixed. CMF confirmed two air leaks involving the rear air bag and the leveling switch. Parts are on order to resolves both of those as well. CMF estimated a 1-2 week time frame and we are good to run it until then. | |

| The squad came back today. The following was supposed to be handled, if anything was not please let me know: -The rear slide out swapped out to twice the rating and the shelving system reinforced. (It should be movable now and with plenty of capacity.) -Check engine light fixed ( the issue was a bad DEF tank sensor) -Both mirrors should now move appropriately. -screws on exterior D handle door latches and the access panels in side the compartments were tighted and loc tited on all doors. -Radio speakers in the cab were repositioned for additional view. -All door sensors were adjusted. Mark had the driver's side belly compartment alarm once on the way back. -The HAAS alert box was removed and sent for reprogrammed. -Re-attach hand light charger in officer's seat A road mechanic will be out to reinstall the HAAS box once updated, replace the paratech compartment interior door handle, and look at the sensor on the belly compartment again. | |

| Switched into RRS1 so that New Rescue E One Rescue Squad can go to Patriot for Warranty work. We were instructed to take out all the cribbing in the back, leaving just one piece of each individual size in the compartment. Switch over list is saved to desktop on computer in watch office. RRS1 = "A" Side of Hurst Pump not working properly. It took 30 seconds to open spreader on this side vs 15 seconds on Orange "B" Line. Written up. In order to power up Hurst pump you must turn on Breaker 21 in panel. You must also turn if off this way. Apparently on/off switch on pump is broken. Two Air Bag Bags set up in walk in area. One complete set up for a 45 min cylinder (no threads) and One complete set up for a 60 min cylinder (threads). Couldn't get Diesel Generator to stay running. Not concerned as half of the things it powers on this thing don't work. If we are missing something you want, let me know. I can swing by patriot and bring it with me to work on Thursday. | |

Please join the BVFD Officers in congratulating EMT Alexis Smith on becoming our latest EMS Unit Driver!!
Alexis joined the BVFD in July of 2016 and has been consistently taking training classes to earn her status as EMT in Charge and now as an Emergency EMS Driver. Alexis completed EVOC, then began working through the BVFD cognitive and practical examinations (on our Ambulance, emergency laws, area streets, and hospital running routes). The final training phase required her to demonstrate proficiency driving on numerous emergency calls under the evaluation of an experienced Driver. Alexis drove on a wide variety of emergency calls, including hospital transports to meet the final requirements and earn Emergency Driver status. The BVFD salutes her hard work and constant dedication.
We salute EMT Smith for her dedication and commitment to serving others, especially during a national pandemic.
Chief Ryman and I salute all of the BVFD personnel who have consistently provided vital staffing throughout the pandemic. Keep up the amazing work!
