| General Station/Apparatus Stuff 1. Engine 715 TPM stuck open today after an early morning vehicle fire. Solid light remained on even when out of pump gear. Exercised the device a few times and was able to free it. Defect report written. 2. Small Tools sent a carabiner, tri-link and 10ft yellow section of 1" webbing for the missing truck company rope rigging equipment. Neither the carabiner or tri-link were the proper NFPA Rating (General) for our inventory. Small tools notified (Grierson) and items sent BACK for proper replacement. From that 8/2021 write up, the Yellow Webbing is the only item that has been placed back on the rigging bags. Other items are "on order". Since they're ordering: I requested to replace all the old steel carabiners with newer aluminum, to match the same style as on the Rescue Squad and provide some uniformity. Request was forwarded up the chain, though it's highly unlikely to be granted. | |
