Rescue Squad 715:
Cribbing Compartment = (2) 4x4's fell behind the slide out drawer. It appears that when you pull them out, they are getting hung up and falling behind the flimsy piece of metal that is supposed to keep them from doing that. Took off entire top row in order to hopefully keep this from happening.
Removed (2) Fanny packs with masks from the Cab area. Didn't see them in the inventory so I placed them with the other spare apparatus supplies.
Rescue Squad Portable winch has 2 Ton hook. This obviously de-rates it. A shift and Ryman handling.
All medications expired in Aide Bag. Replaced all but glucose (Didn't have any)
Missing Pulse Ox and Glucometer = Glucometer ordered, Pulse ox may be more difficult
Mega Mover found in cab area. Not in inventory. Left in place and asked Chief Ryman to add to Inventory.

Rescue Squad 715 was picked up from CMF today and RS742B was returned to Rescue 2. All equipment was placed back on our Rescue Squad. When we got back we noticed we were missing the Drivers Side hub oil seal. CMF was kind enough to run us out a new one and replace any lost fluid we left on the ICC. All seems to be fine now. I know we have lost a seal in the past in case the issues persists. The printout they give you with all the issues they tried to fix was placed in the Station Commanders Mailbox.

The new tires were delayed in arriving today and installation didn't start until late in the afternoon which would have created a well after 1700 switch over, not supported by staffing.

Rescue Squad Update

Hi All-

CMF reached out this morning. The squad is done with the exception of tires being swapped out on the rear axle. Those are ordered and will be in tomorrow. Once they are on they'll make the call to switch back into the unit, so I would expect that will fall on A shift unless something else changes.

Two additional notes:
  • When we took delivery of the unit, fleet advised that over time the rear tires needed to be switched over to mud/snow tires (what's on the rear of the truck). So, the forward tandem axle will be switched over and the current tread style will remain on the rear until they are worn out and then those will be switched over.
  • The fuel ring will not work when the unit gets back. They need to order a different style ring for that vehicle and Patriot has to finish the wiring because CMF doesn't have the wire or needed connectors. This will be handled when the winch fairlead is handled.

Thanks,

Michael Ryman

RS715 status

Per CMF this morning we should get the squad back tomorrow (Tuesday). The hold up was tires being ordered.

A couple notes:
-the fair lead for the front winch remains on back order. Please continue to only use when necessary and in a very straight line.
-the turbo is rubbing on the cab. This will be addressed when the fairlead comes in.
-one PTO seal is leaking. Same deal.
-the aux brake button on the steering wheel now turns the telma on and off not the jake brake. When turned on it should come on to 50% when letting off the accelerator and 100% when the brakes are applied.

All four rear tires replaced on RS741B. Note, pay attention to the directional arrows on tires if it has them. Those arrows indicate that the tires are "directional". All four tires on the rear of the squad were directional and facing the wrong direction.
